The pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 event is the week when Pokemon GO goes all-in on Max Battles, and it ends with the biggest name in Dynamax history returning to the game. The pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 event runs from Monday, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, and its headline is simple: Eternatus is back, but you do not catch it the way you catch most returning Pokemon.
That distinction matters, so this guide states it up front. Eternatus itself is earned through the GO Pass: Dynamax Trails progression track, once per event for players who have not caught it before. The giant Eternamax Eternatus that takes over Power Spots on Saturday, November 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time cannot be caught at all. Beating it earns a large amount of Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, which you then use to power up the Eternatus you earned through the GO Pass. Anyone planning to catch Eternamax itself will be disappointed, so plan around the two separate routes instead.
This guide uses only what Niantic’s official announcement and reputable event coverage confirm. Where a detail comes from coverage rather than Niantic’s own page text, this guide says so, and where a full list could not be verified, this guide says that too instead of inventing one.

Pokemon Go Dynamax Trails Eternatus November 2026: Dates, Times and How It Works
SUMMARY: This section gives the exact pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 dates, hours, and format, so no one confuses the week-long event with the three-hour November 21 window.
The pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 event runs from Monday, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. That is a full week of Max Battle focus, and it is one of the final events of the Twilight Trails season, which ends on December 1, 2026, according to event coverage. All times in this guide are local time unless a Pacific Time window is stated, which matters for the Remote Raid limit change on November 20 to 21.
The event’s theme is Max Battles from start to finish. More Power Spots than usual will be active, catching event-themed Pokemon in the wild or after Max Battles gives a chance of Max Particles, and almost every Dynamax Pokemon ever seen in Pokemon GO can appear in Max Battles during the week. Note that Max Particles cannot be obtained from catches with the Explorer Gadget or a Pokemon GO Plus +, per Niantic’s announcement.
Two dates inside the week deserve their own reminders. GO Pass: Dynamax Trails is available automatically from November 16 at 10:00 a.m. local time, with early access from November 14 for players who claimed Tier 1 rewards on GO Pass: Into the Wild. Then, on Saturday, November 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, Eternamax Eternatus takes over the majority of Power Spots. That same day, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, is also the November Community Day featuring Pawniard, according to November event listings, so November 21 is a very busy day in Pokemon GO. Do not plan the Eternamax window and Community Day as if they were the same event.

Eternatus Returns: Two Different Routes, Do Not Confuse Them
SUMMARY: This section explains the two pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 Eternatus routes, the GO Pass encounter and the uncatchable Eternamax battles, so readers chase the right one.
The first route is the one that actually gives you Eternatus. As you progress through the Max Battle adventure with GO Pass: Dynamax Trails, which starts during the event, you encounter the Poison- and Dragon-type Legendary Pokemon Eternatus. Niantic states that Eternatus can only be caught once during this event, and that it requires much more Candy and Candy XL to power up due to its massive power. GO Pass: Dynamax Trails and GO Pass Deluxe: Dynamax Trails both provide Eternatus Candy and Candy XL to help with that cost.
The second route is for players who already caught Eternatus in a previous event. Those players do not get a second Eternatus encounter from the GO Pass. Instead, they receive 100 Eternatus Candy, and they can continue their journey with the Eternatus they already have, using the Candy and Candy XL from the GO Pass and from Eternamax battles to power it up. That rule is worth knowing before you set expectations: this event is a first catch for new players and a power-up opportunity for returning players, not a second Eternatus for everyone.
The third thing to understand is what Eternamax is not. Eternamax Eternatus is the giant form that darkens the sky in Max Battles on November 21. Niantic is explicit: while players will not be able to catch Eternamax Eternatus after defeating it in Max Battles, they will earn a large amount of Eternatus Candy and Eternatus Candy XL. Those rewards feed the Eternatus you catch via the GO Pass. Chasing Eternamax battles without progressing the GO Pass leaves you with Candy but no Eternatus to spend it on, so do both in the same week.
Max Battles: Every Dynamax Pokemon Returns
SUMMARY: This section explains what Max Battles look like during pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026, including the returning Dynamax pool and Special Backgrounds.
Max Battles are the centrepiece of the pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 week. Niantic’s announcement says to prepare for the return of every Dynamax Pokemon seen in Pokemon GO, and that all Dynamax Pokemon that have appeared in Pokemon GO may appear in Max Battles during the event. That is a deliberately wide pool: it is a catch-up week for Dynamax collections, not a week built around one or two new debuts.
One important exclusion applies to both the wild encounters and the Max Battle pool. Legendary and Mythical Pokemon are excluded from the returning Dynamax pool, except for Eternatus itself, which arrives through the GO Pass rather than through ordinary Max Battles. So do not expect to find Dynamax versions of other Legendaries in Power Spots during this event. The returning pool is the non-Legendary, non-Mythical Dynamax Pokemon that have already debuted in the game.
There is also a collectible reason to battle all week. Players who take on Max Battles during the event will have a chance of receiving a Special Background after making a successful catch. That background appears on the Pokemon’s summary page, showing when the Pokemon was caught and commemorating the adventure. A Special Background is a chance, not a guarantee, on each catch, so treat it as a bonus rather than a promise.
- Returning Max Battle pool: all Dynamax Pokemon that have appeared in Pokemon GO, excluding Legendary and Mythical Pokemon
- Eternatus route: GO Pass encounter, not an ordinary Max Battle catch
- Special Backgrounds: a chance after a successful Max Battle catch during the event
- Power Spots: more active than usual all week, refreshing more frequently on November 21
GO Pass: Dynamax Trails: Free, Deluxe and Early Access
SUMMARY: This section explains the pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 GO Pass, what the free track gives, what Deluxe adds, and who gets it early and free.
GO Pass: Dynamax Trails is a free, limited-time progression track. Players automatically receive it on Monday, November 16, at 10:00 a.m. local time, and they can collect GO Points and rank up to earn additional rewards through Monday, November 23, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass expire on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, so claim them before they are gone.
The free track’s featured rewards include encounters with event-themed Dynamax Pokemon with a Special Background, an encounter with Eternatus (or 100 Eternatus Candy if you have already caught Eternatus), Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, Rare Candy, Stardust, event-themed stickers, and more goodies, per Niantic’s announcement. That free track alone is enough to get Eternatus, which is the key point for players who do not want to spend anything.
The paid upgrade is GO Pass Deluxe, priced at US$4.99 or the equivalent pricing tier in local currency. Deluxe players can claim all rewards from both the free GO Pass and the Deluxe track, and they can upgrade at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks. Deluxe adds more event-themed Dynamax encounters with a Special Background, even more Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, Silver Pinap Berries, Rare Candy XL, event-themed stickers, and more. Buying Deluxe through the Pokemon GO Web Store also gives a gift with purchase of 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass, and five Max Potions, and a Web Store Deluxe purchase activates as soon as the GO Pass begins.
Early access is the part players should check now, not on November 16. Players who claim Tier 1 rewards on GO Pass: Into the Wild receive early access to GO Pass: Dynamax Trails on Saturday, November 14, at 10:00 a.m. local time, and they are automatically upgraded to GO Pass Deluxe for free. That early access falls on the GO Wild Area: Global weekend, so it overlaps with a different event, but it is a real head start on the Dynamax Trails track for players who completed the Into the Wild tier.
Major Milestones on the event GO Pass unlock three bonus tiers during the event. Tier 1, starting at Rank 15, gives 2x Catch Stardust. Tier 2, starting at Rank 35, halves the Candy and Stardust cost to activate the Dynamax Cannon Adventure Effect. Tier 3, starting at Rank 55, gives additional Candy and Candy XL from Max Battles. Niantic also notes to keep an eye out for additional bonus tasks for this GO Pass during the event.
| GO Pass track | Cost | Key rewards |
| GO Pass: Dynamax Trails (free) | Free, from November 16, 10:00 a.m. local time | Eternatus encounter or 100 Eternatus Candy, Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, Dynamax encounters with Special Backgrounds, Rare Candy, Stardust |
| GO Pass Deluxe: Dynamax Trails | US$4.99 or local equivalent | All free rewards plus more Dynamax encounters, more Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, Silver Pinap Berries, Rare Candy XL |
| Early access + free Deluxe | Claim Tier 1 rewards on GO Pass: Into the Wild | GO Pass from November 14, 10:00 a.m. local time, with Deluxe upgrade included free |
Wild Encounters, Field Research and Stickers
SUMMARY: This section covers the pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 wild spawns, Field Research rewards, and stickers, without inventing a species list Niantic did not publish.
Wild encounters during the pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 week follow the same wide-pool logic as Max Battles. Players may encounter event-themed Pokemon in the wild, including any Pokemon that has debuted in Dynamax Max Battles, excluding Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. Catching those event-themed Pokemon in the wild gives a chance of Max Particles, which is a useful bonus during a Max Battle week, since Max Particles gate how many battles you can join.
One honest gap belongs here. Niantic’s announcement does not publish a complete, species-by-species wild spawn list in text form for this event, and the text sources checked for this guide do not give a complete verifiable list either. This guide therefore does not invent one. The confirmed structure is the returning Dynamax debut pool, excluding Legendaries and Mythicals, and players should check the in-game Nearby list during the week for the exact species appearing at that moment, rather than trusting an unverified list copied from elsewhere.
Event-themed Field Research tasks are available during the week. Completing them earns Stardust, Eternatus Candy, and more, plus encounters with event-themed Pokemon. That Eternatus Candy from Field Research is a useful extra source on top of the GO Pass rewards and the Eternamax battle rewards, especially given how much Candy and Candy XL Eternatus needs to power up.
Event-themed stickers are also available during the event. Players can get them by spinning PokeStops, opening Gifts, purchasing them from the in-game shop, and making progress on the GO Pass. Stickers are a minor feature, but they are part of the complete event picture, and they are the kind of detail that gets lost when guides focus only on the headline Pokemon.
November 21: The Eternamax Window in Detail
SUMMARY: This section gives the exact pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 November 21 Eternamax window, its bonuses, and why it is a Candy farm, not a catch event.
Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time is the centrepiece day of the pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 week. During those three hours, Eternamax Eternatus will take over the majority of Power Spots. Niantic describes it as the biggest battles of Pokemon GO, with Eternamax Eternatus darkening the sky worldwide in Max Battles. That is dramatic language, but the practical meaning is simple: Power Spots will be dominated by one giant boss for three hours.
The bonuses during that window are substantial. Power Spots will refresh more frequently, the Max Particle collection limit increases to 2,400, and Power Spots award 8x Max Particles. That combination means players can battle far more often than on a normal day, provided they have a group and a strong counter team, since Eternamax battles are built for groups rather than solo play. Coverage notes the 2,400 limit and 8x multiplier apply to the November 21 window, not to the whole week, so do not plan the rest of the week around those numbers.
The Remote Raid limit also changes around the window. From November 20 at 1:00 p.m. to November 21 at 6:00 p.m. PST (GMT-8), the daily Remote Raid limit increases from 10 to 30. Note that this window is stated in Pacific Time, not local time, so players outside the Pacific time zone should convert it rather than assuming it matches their local November 21 hours. The higher Remote Raid limit helps players join distant Eternamax battles and other raids during the window, but it does not change the core rule: Eternamax itself cannot be caught.
The reward logic for November 21 is therefore a farm, not a catch. Beat Eternamax, earn a large amount of Eternatus Candy and Candy XL, and spend that Candy on the Eternatus you earned through the GO Pass. Players who have already progressed their GO Pass before November 21 get the most from the window, because they already have an Eternatus to power up. Players who wait until after November 21 to start the GO Pass will still get the GO Pass Candy, but they will have missed the biggest Candy farm of the week.
Spotlight Hour and the Rest of the Week
SUMMARY: This section covers the pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 Spotlight Hour, Dynamax Mondays, and the Community Day clash on November 21.
Spotlight Hour during the pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026 week falls on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. The featured Pokemon are Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble, all of which can be Shiny if you are lucky, and the bonus is 2x Catch Candy. That is a straightforward hour: three Galar starters, double Candy, and a good time to stock up on Candy for Pokemon that appear in Dynamax form.
Dynamax Mondays also continue during the event. Event listings for November 2026 show a Dynamax Monday on November 16 and another on November 23, with a Dynamax Espurr debut listed for November 23, while the November 16 Dynamax Monday Pokemon was listed as to be announced in the listings checked. This guide does not guess the November 16 Dynamax Monday Pokemon, because the listings checked did not name it. Check the in-game news on November 16 rather than trusting an unverified guess.
November 21 deserves a final scheduling warning. The Eternamax window runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time, and the November Community Day featuring Pawniard runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on the same day, according to November event listings. Those two windows sit back to back, which makes November 21 a long day for players who want both. Plan battery, data, and walking time for a full afternoon, and do not assume Community Day bonuses apply to Eternamax battles or vice versa.

Best Plan for the Pokemon Go Dynamax Trails Eternatus November 2026 Week
SUMMARY: This section gives a practical week plan for pokemon go dynamax trails eternatus november 2026, using only the confirmed dates, GO Pass rules, and November 21 bonuses above.
Start before November 16 if you can. If you claimed Tier 1 rewards on GO Pass: Into the Wild, your GO Pass: Dynamax Trails starts on November 14 at 10:00 a.m. local time with Deluxe included free, so use that head start. If you did not, decide before November 16 whether the US$4.99 Deluxe upgrade is worth it for the extra Eternatus Candy, Rare Candy XL, and Dynamax encounters, remembering that the free track alone still gives you the Eternatus encounter.
During the week, progress the GO Pass steadily rather than leaving it to the last day, because GO Pass rewards expire on November 25 at 8:00 p.m. local time and Eternatus needs a lot of Candy to power up. Battle returning Dynamax Pokemon for Special Backgrounds, complete Field Research for extra Eternatus Candy, and collect Max Particles from wild catches and Power Spots so you are ready for November 21.
On November 21, make the Eternamax window your priority from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. Battle with a group, use the 8x Max Particles and the higher 2,400 collection limit, and bank the Eternatus Candy and Candy XL for your GO Pass Eternatus. After 2:00 p.m., switch to Pawniard Community Day if you want it, but do not expect the two events to share bonuses. By November 23 at 8:00 p.m. local time, finish the GO Pass, claim every reward, and check that your Eternatus is powered up with the Candy you farmed.
