Introduction
Looking for GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition cheats to unlock unlimited ammunition, powerful weapons, expensive vehicles, and extra money? You’re in the right place. Rockstar Games’ remastered version brings back many classic cheat codes that made the original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas so entertaining.
Whether you’re exploring Los Santos, escaping the police, or causing chaos across San Andreas, cheat codes can completely change your gaming experience. Players can instantly restore health, spawn military vehicles, improve character abilities, and experiment with unusual gameplay effects.
However, not every classic cheat works in the Definitive Edition. Some codes were removed because of technical differences between the original game and its remastered version. This guide covers useful working cheats, platform-specific inputs, and important precautions before activating them.
What Are GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Cheats?
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition cheats are special commands that activate hidden gameplay effects. These codes allow players to modify different aspects of the game without completing missions or unlocking rewards normally.
The Definitive Edition features updated graphics, improved lighting, enhanced controls, and other changes while preserving the original open-world adventure starring Carl “CJ” Johnson.
Cheats can increase CJ’s money, restore health, provide weapons, spawn vehicles, change weather conditions, or alter police behavior. They are particularly useful for exploring the game’s enormous map and experimenting with different gameplay possibilities.
Most classic cheat codes remain available, although compatibility varies between PC and console versions.
How to Enter GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Cheats
Activating cheats is straightforward, but the process depends on your gaming platform.
On PC, enter cheat codes directly through your keyboard during normal gameplay. You do not need to pause the game or open a console window. Successful activation usually triggers an on-screen confirmation message.
On PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, cheats require specific controller button combinations. Enter each combination quickly while actively playing.
Save your progress before activating any cheat because using cheats can disable achievements or trophies and potentially interfere with certain missions.
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition PC Cheats
PC players can access numerous cheat codes by typing specific words or letter combinations.
Money, Health, and Armor Cheats
The most popular money cheat is HESOYAM. Entering this code restores CJ’s health and armor while adding $250,000 to his balance. It can also repair the vehicle CJ currently occupies.
Players can repeat HESOYAM to receive additional money without completing missions.
For extra protection, BAGUVIX provides near-infinite health in supported PC versions. However, it does not protect CJ from every type of damage, including certain explosions and environmental hazards.
GTA San Andreas Weapon Cheats
Weapon cheats provide immediate access to different collections of firearms and equipment.
Entering LXGIWYL activates the first weapon package, containing useful equipment for ordinary combat situations.
The second package, KJKSZPJ, provides another selection of weapons, including stronger firearms.
For heavier equipment, UZUMYMW unlocks the third weapon set, featuring powerful weapons suited to intense encounters.
Players who dislike reloading can activate FULLCLIP, which provides unlimited ammunition without reloading.
These cheats are especially entertaining during large-scale battles against police officers or rival gangs.
Wanted Level Cheats
Police chases are a major part of GTA San Andreas, but sometimes players want to explore without constant interference.
Enter ASNAEB to remove your current wanted level.
The AEZAKMI cheat prevents your wanted level from increasing beyond its current state, allowing greater freedom during exploration.
Players looking for more excitement can enter OSRBLHH to increase their wanted level by two stars.
For an extreme challenge, LJSPQK immediately activates a six-star wanted level, bringing intense law enforcement attention.
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Vehicle Cheats
Vehicle cheats let players spawn unusual transportation options without purchasing or discovering them naturally.
Spawn Rhino Tank
Enter AIWPRTON to spawn the Rhino tank.
This heavily armored military vehicle is ideal for players who enjoy creating chaos across Los Santos and surrounding areas.
Its powerful cannon and durable construction make it one of the game’s most recognizable vehicles.
Spawn Jetpack
The ROCKETMAN cheat gives CJ a jetpack, allowing him to fly around the map.
Players can explore rooftops, reach elevated locations, and travel across difficult terrain without relying on ordinary vehicles.
The jetpack is particularly useful for discovering hidden areas and enjoying San Andreas from above.
Spawn Hydra Fighter Jet
Enter JUMPJET to spawn the Hydra military aircraft.
This fighter jet supports high-speed travel and combat, making it a popular choice for players who enjoy aerial exploration.
Players can also use OHDUDE to spawn the Hunter attack helicopter, another powerful aircraft equipped for combat.
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Cheats for PS5 and PS4
PlayStation players activate cheats using controller button combinations rather than keyboard commands.
PS5 and PS4 Money Cheat
To restore health and armor while receiving $250,000, enter the following combination during gameplay:
R1, R2, L1, X, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
This classic cheat remains one of the most useful commands in the Definitive Edition.
Players can activate it whenever additional money or immediate health recovery is needed.
PS5 and PS4 Weapon Cheat
To unlock the first weapon package, enter:
R1, R2, L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
The cheat immediately provides a collection of weapons.
Make sure to enter the buttons in the correct order without opening the pause menu.
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Xbox Cheats
Xbox players can also activate cheat codes using controller combinations.
These commands work with compatible Definitive Edition versions on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Xbox Money Cheat
For maximum health, full armor, and $250,000, enter:
RB, RT, LB, A, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
This command provides the same general benefits as the HESOYAM cheat on PC.
Xbox Weapon Cheat
To unlock the first weapon package, enter:
RB, RT, LB, RT, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
Use the normal gameplay screen and enter the combination quickly.
Remember that some cheats available in the original release may not function in the Definitive Edition.
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch Cheats
Nintendo Switch players can also use classic cheat codes through controller inputs.
Because the Switch uses different button labels from PlayStation and Xbox, players must follow combinations specifically intended for Nintendo controllers.
For example, the health, armor, and money cheat uses:
R, ZR, L, B, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
This restores CJ’s health and armor while adding $250,000.
Nintendo Switch players should avoid copying PlayStation button labels directly, as the controller layouts differ.
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Weather Cheats
Weather cheats allow players to change the environment without waiting for natural weather transitions.
The AFZLLQLL cheat produces sunny weather, making outdoor exploration more pleasant.
Players can enter AUIFRVQS to activate rainy weather or MGHXYRM to create thunderstorms.
For a darker atmosphere, CFVFGMJ introduces foggy conditions.
Weather manipulation adds variety to driving, sightseeing, and other free-roaming activities.
Fun and Special GTA San Andreas Cheats
Some cheats are designed primarily for entertainment rather than practical gameplay advantages.
The KANGAROO code enables super jumps, allowing CJ to leap much higher than normal.
Enter IAVENJQ to activate powerful punches that send enemies flying.
For unusual driving experiences, RIPAZHA enables flying cars, while COXEFGU equips traffic vehicles with nitrous.
The Definitive Edition also introduces the EXPANDDOME cheat on PC, activating Big Head Mode for an amusing visual effect.
These modifications can make familiar locations and activities feel completely different.
Do Cheats Disable Achievements in GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition?
Yes. Activating cheats can disable achievements and trophies for the affected save file.
This is particularly important for players attempting to complete every mission, collect achievements, or reach 100% completion.
Some cheats may also create unexpected gameplay problems, especially when they modify pedestrian behavior, traffic, or other persistent world conditions.
The safest approach is to maintain a separate save file without activated cheats.
That way, players can enjoy unlimited money, special vehicles, and unusual gameplay effects without risking their primary progress.
Why Are Some GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition Cheats Not Working?
Some cheats from the original GTA San Andreas were removed or changed in the remastered release.
Technical differences, engine compatibility, and platform-specific limitations can prevent certain commands from functioning.
For example, the invisible cars and free-aim-while-driving cheats are unavailable in the Definitive Edition.
Incorrect button sequences can also cause activation failures.
If a cheat does not work, verify that you’re using the correct platform-specific command and entering it during active gameplay.
Conclusion
GTA San Andreas Definitive Edition cheats provide an entertaining way to explore Rockstar Games’ classic open-world adventure.
From the HESOYAM money cheat and FULLCLIP unlimited ammunition to the ROCKETMAN jetpack and AIWPRTON Rhino tank, players have numerous ways to experiment with the game.
Although most classic cheats remain available, some commands differ between platforms or have been removed from the remastered version.
Always save your progress before activating cheats, especially if you want to protect achievements, trophies, and mission completion.
Whether you’re playing on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch, these codes can make your next journey through San Andreas even more entertaining.
